Il clima ha carattere tropicale con precipitazioni non eccessive (700-800 mm annui) e più abbondanti (oltre i 2000 mm annui) sui rilievi e sui versanti settentrionali che sono ricoperti di folte foreste tropicali. Il freddo e l'inverno sono sconosciuti su quest'isola, il cui paesaggio è quanto mai vario e suggestivo. Unico inconveniente sono i cicloni equatoriali, che infuriano soprattutto da luglio ad ottobre; ma per fortuna non interessano tutto il territorio, infatti ne rimangono investite solo le zone più orientali.

The climate is here tropical with few precipitations (700-800mm per year) which are abundant on the northern mountainous reliefs (beyond 2000mm per year) covered in thick forests. Cold and winters are unknown on this island, whose landscape is everywhere different and suggestive. The only damage for this country are represented by the equatorial cyclones which here dominate from July to October, but, fortunately they don't blow in every part of the country but just in the eastern areas.
