Il clima equatoriale o tropicale presenta elevate temperature (26-32 °C). Le precipitazioni vanno dai 1000 mm annui nelle piccole isole settentrionali situate a livello dell'Equatore, ai 3000 mm in quelle sempre settentrionali ma poste al livello degli estremi nord e sud dell'arcipelago. Nelle isole centrali e meridionali le piogge diminuiscono, per cui si hanno anche dei periodi di siccità; esse sono comunque generalmente meno abbondanti nel periodo aprile- giugno.
Its climate is equatorial or tropical showing elevated temperatures (26-32°C). Rainfalls go from 1000 mm per year in the little northern islands set at the same level as the Equator, to 3000 mm always in the northern islands but placed at the same level as the North and South extremes of the arcipelago. In the central and southern islands rainfalls decrease and, as a consequence, there are long droughty periods; they are anyway less abundant in the April-June period.
